Call of Duty drops new multiplayer Carentan-map trailer and it brings back all kinds of feelings
Carentan, probably the only Northern French Normandy town Generation X’ers can name from the top of their heads, and probably even describe its layout as if they visit their uncles there every summer. And for good reason. The town entered our historical frame of reference when by HBO’s Band of Brothers, after which the original 2003 Call of Duty gave us the opportunity to reenact that assault in both single and multiplayer. When Call of Duty 2 came around in 2005, we got to relive the multiplayer experience in some significantly upgraded graphics, and now, twelve full years later, it’s back in 2017’s graphics. Psyched.
