The polling stations have closed at 18:00 in smaller cities, the stations in larger cities will close at 20:00. Multiple sources reported around 16:00 that 60% of the votes counted at that time went to Macron. A figure that seems to be in line with the 60% – 40% favour pollsters ascribed to Macron during the past few weeks.

At 17:00 the voter turnout was 65.3%.
