Ten years ago, Steve Jobs gave his legendary presentation at Cupertino, unveiling Apple’s latest breakthrough product, the iPhone. The boys at MacRumors made a recap of the era. And how did the iPhone perform? Well, Statistica reported that in 2007, it sold almost 1.4 million units worldwide, and over the past few years, sales of the Apple iPhone have seen a strong increase reaching 150 million units by 2013. For its 2017 fiscal first quarter, Apple reported more than $54 billion in revenue from iPhone sales. These sales accounted for more than 50 percent of Apple’s revenue in this time frame. Overall, Apple sold more than 78 million new iPhones in the quarter. So one can say the phone has been pretty successful.
