According to the Daily Mail, two days ago:
“A 16-year-old boy was caught carrying a massive machete and drugs on the streets of London.
Police approached the youngster who was ‘acting suspiciously’ at 4.30pm today in Station Parade, Barking – just days after the knife attack on London Bridge which left eight dead.
The boy ran away forcing officers to chase him on foot but he was eventually detained.”
The arrest comes fast on the heels of a very similar arrest made just three days ago in East Ham, London, where a man was stopped by police who subsequently found him carrying three machetes.
In other machete-related news, a man today was stabbed with a machete by a gang of up to 20 youths on mopeds, at London’s Russel Square. The police has confirmed it’s not treating the incident as a terrorist attack.
