Aaron Sorkin wrote A Few Good Men, The American President, The West Wing, Charlie Wilson’s War, Moneyball, Steve Jobs, and was nominated for an Oscar almost every time. He actually won the Oscar for the masterpiece The Social Network and has Quentin Tarantino naming him “the best dialogue writer in the business.” So yeah, it’s safe to say that every project Sorkin takes on is interesting, to say the least.
Now for the first time, Sorkin will not only write but also direct his movie. It’s called Molly’s Game, and it is the true story (!) about Olympic-class skier Molly Bloom who, at the age of 26, ran the world’s most exclusive high-stakes poker game and became an FBI target. Her players included movie stars, business titans and unbeknownst to her, the Russian mob.
Still not convinced that this will probably be awesome, then check out the trailer for the final push. In theatres this November.
