The Russians are building a brand new all-electric Ford Mustang Fastback, so all is right in the world
The Russians are interfering in American affairs again, but this time they’re quite open about it. So what is it? Well, basically, it’s a brand new all-electric Russian Ford Mustang: the Aviar R67. Is it cool? Affirmative. Is it fast? Oh hell yes.
The boys from Aviar Motors call it “the first electric Muscle Car with incredible acceleration dynamics and high level of comfort.” Well, let’s not ponder the Russian notion of comfort for too long, but the ‘incredible’ part seems quite legit. The R67 is a downright monster, it has 2 electric engines boasting 840 brake horsepower (a Ferrari F12 has 740 bhp!), which deliver 967 Nm of torque. Top speed is 250 km/h, but this is the interesting part; the battery will last 507 kilometers on a single charge, and 0-60 will be done in 2,2 seconds. Yes, 2,2 seconds!
Aviar designed the whole car themselves, based on the 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback, and the machine looks stunning. Interior wise it seems they took a close look at Elon’s Tesla’s and well, let’s just assume that to be homage as well.
There’s one problem. They have not actually built the thing. But have no fear lads, Aviar’s ordering books are open, just leave your details here, and Vlad will get back to you.
